Material Selection Guide

Materials selection is focused on resisting heat and mechanical wear:

• Apron Pans: High Carbon Steel, Manganese Steel (for extreme impact), or AR400 steel (for sliding abrasion).

• Chain Bearings: Sealed roller bearings or bronze bushings with high-temperature lubricant reservoirs to withstand elevated ambient temperatures.

• Structural Frame: Heavy, wide-flange structural steel members with integral reinforcement to absorb shock loading.
