A driven roller is a type of idler roller used in powered roller conveyors, typically equipped with drive wheels such as sprockets, multi-wedge pulleys, timing pulleys, V-belt pulleys, or O-grooved rollers. Driven rollers with sprockets offer high load capacity, with sprockets usually made of steel and available in various specifications based on load requirements. Driven rollers with multi-wedge pulleys, timing pulleys, and V-belt pulleys are designed for belt-driven systems and have lighter load capacities. O-grooved rollers are also used for light-duty roller conveyors, with load capacities lower than belt-driven rollers.
